Thanks again for volunteering to help with this.

Please watch all the videos and read the instructions, film your clip and send it using the link at the bottom of this page.

My plan is to take just one word from each video so you don’t have to be perfect!

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:

So, THIS IS THE IMPORTANT BIT!

I’d like everyone taking part to get as close to the video below that I did with my mate who helps with the ads.

WHAT TO FOCUS ON:

1. Please check that your video is at 1080p or more (somewhere in your phone camera settings). 4K would be ideal if your camera/phone has it.

2. Please film horizontally like all the videos you see here.

3. Please hold up ‘Teaser Trailer’ if you have it like Ian does (Don’t worry if you haven’t got it – just do the clip without).

4. Please do NOT hold up any of the other albums!

5. Please check that your voice is clear. Do a quick test clip. 

6. Try and do it somewhere quiet

7. Feel free to do it somewhere odd if you want (in your car, at the beach)

DON’T WORRY ABOUT:

1. Messing up the script. Just get close enough.

2. Umms and errs.

3. Stopping and starting.

HERE’S WHY! – Because I am going to cut one word at a time, you can mess up. Ian’s video is perfect because we filmed each line and edited it together. You can do that if you are able, but you really don’t need to bother. I will take the best of each clip to do what I need. You messing up and fluffing it will be cut out.

You do NOT need to edit what you send at all.

Please send me an approximate effort of the script full of mistakes, furtive looks at the script and gaps if that’s what you can manage – That is way better for me than not getting a clip from you at all!

NEXT STEP:

Once you have managed the scripted version, or a rough effort, then, if you have the time and patience, I’d love it if you could have a crack at two more clips.

FYI, HERE’S WHY that last bit might be great. I’m hoping that I will get an unbiased list of great bands that some of you think I sound like and some great little bits of what you like about my music. 

That stuff might make a MUCH, MUCH better video advert than my scripted version.

THE FINAL STEP:

Upload your video clip or clips to me.

The best way to do this is to go to We Transfer - https://wetransfer.com/ - and use ‘mike@thisisadultcinema.com’ as the receiving email.

This will work direct from your phone on which you’ve shot the clips.

PLEASE REMEMBER: YOUR VIDEO DOES NOT NEED TO BE EDITED AND CAN BE FULL OF MISTAKES. 

YOU DON’T NEED TO EDIT IT AT ALL AND YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE AS NEAR TO PERFECT AS IAN’S EXAMPLE. 

ALL I NEED FROM EACH PERSON IS A FEW CLEAR WORDS FROM THE SCRIPT AND I’M GOOD.
